Beau James W. Toy
Beau James W. Toy, M.D., is board certified in Radiation Oncology and was the first Nevada Oncologist to complete the ABR Recertification Exam. In 1997, he joined the staff of the Radiation Oncology Centers of Las Vegas as consultant in IMRT and Radiosurgery. In 2001, he joined the Sunrise Gamma Knife Center and served as Director from 2002 to 2010. He is proud to be joining the ROCNV with its national leading IMRT and IGRT technologies.
A graduate of the University of California, Dr. Toy earned his M.D. Degree from Harvard Medical School in 1990. While at Harvard, Dr. Toy was awarded the Stanley J. Sarnoff Fellowship, which was completed at the University of California, San Francisco. At University of Michigan, he completed his residency in Radiation Oncology. He also completed two additional years of training at the St. Catherine Institute in France, specializing in 3D treatment planning and delivery.
Dr. Toy’s special interests include body radiosurgery, novel techniques in image guidance, and accelerated treatment strategies (i.e. one-three week treatments as compared to standard six to ten weeks periods).
